Unveiled this week, the all-new Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept is based on the Audi A6 which we saw at last year's Shanghai Auto Show. The Avant is the station wagon version, and it has to be one of the most beautiful cars unveiled so far this year.
Better yet, Audi says that 95 per cent of what we see on the concept will make it to production.
An impressive EV architecture for the A6 Avant e-tron Concept
The 2023 Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept is built on the impressive Audi PPE platform which will serve as the starting point for many new Audi electric vehicles to come. This new platform uses an 800-volt architecture which allows fast charging at up to 270 kW. Audi says that the Audi A6 Avant e-tron can add 300 km of range in 10 minutes and charge the battery from 5% to 80% in under 25 minutes. This 100-kWh battery should provide up to 700 km of range on the European testing cycle which means over 500 kilometres of range based on North American standards.
A lot of horsepower and remarkable performance
The Audi A6 Avant e-tron Concept features a dual-motor setup that delivers 469 horsepower and 590 pound-feet of torque. This is enough to power the impressive concept to 100 km/h in under 4 seconds.
Audi believes that this station wagon will be appealing enough to consumers to convince some of them to replace their SUV with it. In terms of dimensions, it is the same length as the current Audi A6 Allroad, but it is shorter and wider with an impressive drag coefficient of just 0.24.
